New HTC Ruby Photo Leaked, T-Mobile And Android Support Confirmed | HTC Ruby | Android

HTC is preparing to release up to eight devices during the third quarter of 2011 and the first of them might be the HTC Ruby, an Android smartphone which has been leaked several times before, even if at some point we thought that it’s already on the market, until a couple of weeks ago when the handset was spotted once again.
Previously it has been believed that the Ruby codename was destined for the Windows Phone 7-powered HTC Arrive, a smartphone that is now available at Sprint. Another photo of the HTC Ruby now became available, and although it doesn’t say much, it says enough as we certainly know that it’s coming to T-Mobile, thanks to the giant logo above the touchscreen, and that it’s an Android device, thanks to the four touch buttons below the display.
We already know that it will have a white back cover which appears to be made of plastic, though it’s the perfect home for a 8-megapixel camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The HTC Ruby is the perfect example of why we shouldn’t go crazy about a leak and make non-accurate assumptions as this isn’t a Windows Phone 7 Mango phone – at all.
The HTC Ruby is probably a member of the next-generation Android smartphones which might be running on the build that will unite phones and tablets alike codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich. The first devices powered by this operating system should become available by the end of the year so we can only start praying.
Also it’s worth mentioning that HTC made it official that all of its devices will come packed with an unlocked bootloader so the Ruby might be the first handset to follow the company’s new mantra. Well, just check out the new HTC Ruby photo and let us know what do you think about this T-Mobile-bound smartphone!
